The Faur Gallery in Buda is one of the main contemporary galleries of Budapest, which mainly popularizes the Hungarian contemporary art with foot focus in Hungary and in many international market almost through 30 artists.
The website became a responsive, minimal design website with a complex inner link structure which allows entry at more points. It only uses 3 elements: a black line, a red dot, and the artist’s work itself. The design and the content of the website improved - compared to the previous website - after 6 months after the change:
32% increase in visitors
64% increase in the time spent on the page
108% increase in the page sight per visitors
28.5% decrease in returning rate
The Faur Gallery in Buda is one of the main contemporary galleries of Budapest, which mainly popularizes the Hungarian contemporary art with foot focus in Hungary and in many international markets almost through 30 artists. The gallery was showcasing its artists and their arts on the web with a simple Wordpress page for a long time, but its shape didn’t allow to add the new works or the new artists. We made the design of the page together with the graphic designer Kata Kerekes.
The website has to be suitable for the number of the continuously expanding works and artists. It has to introduce paintings, photos and statues as well. Obviously has to show the connections between the artists, the works, the exhibitions and the publications, since the Gallery regularly organizes exhibitions at the gallery in Buda, takes part in international markets, and publishes their artists’ works.
